Our Story
It all begins with a healthcare professional in the midst of a burnout breakdown. That’s what happened to our owner Kat Percy.
She gave so much of herself to her clients, that Kat decided to stop everything and heal. Over the process of months, she finally started self care- which turned into passion.
Kat decided to get her Esthetician Diploma from Algonquin College, and adventure into the world of beauty, mental health and self-care. While still in school, Kat started her Company Boreal Esthetics- which has grown from a small room to the beautiful space it is, in the heart of L’Orignal, Ontario.

Thanks to Kat’s background in healthcare she is very mindful of what she offers others- from products to purchase in spa, to the backbar of professional products. Each one is formulated with natural and organic products your body already recognizes and can use/ breakdown easily.
Kat and her expert team of Estheticians, specialize in sensitive, aging and acneic skin. There really is something for everyone at Boreal Esthetics.
Why the name “Boreal Esthetics”??
“I wanted something bigger than just my own name. A place where those who need an escape can go and know they are taken care of in a non-judgemental environment. A space who caters to all genders, sizes and skin types. A space that is a safe- zone for you to put aside what ales you.
So when thinking of the type of spa I wanted to produce, what type of products and ingredients we will be using- I had to think to myself- what is the biggest natural thing in Canada? The first thing that popped up is the Boreal Forest.
Just as the Boreal Forest’s diverse ecosystem supports a wide range of life, our spa’s comprehensive approach nurtures and supports your skins unique needs. This is why no two treatments are technically the same. What your skin needs this month, may differ by next month due to changes around you.
